Availability of Data and Materials

To promote transparency and support reproducibility, CRC Journals  encourages authors to make the materials and data supporting their research available for reuse, wherever legally and ethically feasible.

Data Availability

Authors may be asked to provide details about the location of the raw data used to support the conclusions in the manuscript and whether this data will be accessible to other researchers. Authors may also be asked to share information about any existing datasets analyzed during the study as part of the peer review process or prior to manuscript acceptance.

Public Repositories for Data

Authors are encouraged to upload datasets to publicly accessible repositories. Below are examples of recommended repositories:

  • DNA/RNA Sequences: Genbank, Genome, BankIt, Sequence Read Archive (SRA), European Nucleotide Archive (ENA), DNA DataBank of Japan (DDBJ).
  • Protein Sequences: Uniprot Knowledgebase (UniprotKB).
  • Genetic Polymorphisms: dbSNP, Database of Genomic Variants Archive (DGVa), Database of Genomic Structural Variation (dbVAR).
  • Sequencing/Microarray Data: NCBI Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO), ArrayExpress.
  • Macromolecule Structures: Worldwide Protein Data Bank, Protein Data Bank in Europe, EMDataBank.
  • Small Molecule Structures: Cambridge Structural Database (CSD), PubChem.

Availability of Data and Materials Statement
